DADREG Housing Project for Women, established in 2019 is a transformative initiative that provides safe, dignified and affordable housing to vulnerable women living with their children, particularly widows, single mothers and survivors of gender-based violence who depend on waste picking at Dandora Dumpsite. Beyond offering shelter, the project creates a pathway to long-term self-reliance by integrating housing with livelihood opportunities, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship support and social protection services. Through restoring security, stability and hope, DADREG empowers women to rebuild their lives, provide a safe environment for their children and achieve sustainable economic independence while fostering stronger, more resilient communities.
