Eradication of poverty is the main goal of DADREG and this is being attained through enrolment of children and youths from the dumpsite into various different levels of learning institutions. DADREG in its community work, identifies intelligent pupils who are from needy families from its scholarships. This support also aims at empowering children living with disabilities to attain education.
Since 2008, DADREG has taken off more than 710 children from the dumpsite and admitted to commence or continue with their learning. In the national exams for primary education conducted in 2016, over 171 pupils under scholarship of DADREG scored between 300 and 405 marks and this placed them in well-performing high schools including national schools.
In an effort to meet its goals on education successfully, DADREG has begun has an education center that offers learning to children taken from the dumpsite. It is currently constructing classrooms to serve large number of pupils.
DADREG partners with different like-minded organizations in educating these students.
