Many schools in the slums of Nairobi face challenges on how to provide quality education to children from poor families. At the same time, many children who perform well in their national examination going to high school face bleak future going to best high schools.

These challenges combined means that the schools will continue providing substandard education while children who perform well in their national education would continue languishing in their homes, or drawn to joining criminal gangs as a way out to getting engaged, albeit in antisocial activities.
